Nature in south-eastern Siberia is of unique and extraordinary beauty. Lake Baikal is so large and deep that the inhabitants of the area call it a sea, but its water is pure and fresh holding one fifth of all the freshwater of the entire planet. It is truly a special and unique ecosystem.
Known as the "Pearl of Siberia", Lake Baikal is home to thousands of species of plants and animals, two thirds of which cannot be found anywhere else in the world. A visit to Lake Baikal is a trip to one of the planet’s most impressive landforms and one of Russia’s most pristine natural sites.
For years, Incoming Russia has specialized in organizing cruises on Lake Baikal with “comfort plus” category ships. The ships are small in size equipped with the highest safety standards. The joined groups are small in size, ideal for enjoying the scenic beauty that the destination offers.
Each cruise on Baikal represents an unforgettable experience that allows you to discover the magical spirit of the place. All itineraries are arranged taking into consideration the unique beauties of the largest lake in the world. Group cruises take place throughout the summer and last from 3 to 10 days to give customers the opportunity to optimize dates.
We invite you to discover Lake Baikal on board our comfortable motorboats - accompanied by expert and professional staff - available to make your holiday relaxing and full of nature - accessible in its purest essence.
It is possible to participate in the entire cruise itinerary or join short-term tours. The "Grand Tour of Baikal" is the most complete and longest itinerary. For those who do not have 12 days available, it is possible to book 9, 6 and 3 day itineraries. The itineraries are designed to offer the possibility of visiting the points of interest on the Baikal circuit, starting from Listvyanka Village, passing through Olkhon Island, Maloe More, the Chivirkujsky Gulf, Peschanaya Bay, Babushka Bay and the famous Circum-Baikal railway line.
We also offer the possibility of requesting extensions that include visits to the Siberian cities of Irkutsk and Ulan-Ude.

Navigation on Lake Baikal
The special position of the lake - exposed to violent winds that sweep the immense Siberian steppes - requires particular caution in navigation. For this reason, there are no large motorboats on the lake and the route is chosen by the on-board staff in order to remain as much as possible along sheltered areas. In addition, real equipped landing points are rare along the lake; so to make land visits, the crew will choose the most suitable landing points and, depending on the weather conditions, it is possible that the route may have to be modified. Travelers are advised to carefully follow the instructions of the crew and not to interfere in the navigation.
Visa
→ 2020: While some countries have bilateral agreements in place to allow visa-free travel to Russia for their citizens, most foreign nationals are still required to have an Entry Visa. You will need to complete the application for a visa through a visa center or consulate in your home country and we will provide support in terms of the required standard "tourist voucher" issued by the authorized Russian host travel agency. Please read the information on the Russian entry visa requirements here.
→ 2021: The Russian government has announced its plans to implement simplified Electronic Visas for Russia starting Jan. 1, 2021. Foreign citizens of 53 countries will be able to obtain a 16-day, single-entry tourist visa online.
Caution: The Russian Parliament has yet to approve the law that would put into effect the Electronic Visa program of 2021. While it is likely to pass, the hearing on the law is expected soon, therefore please contact us at info@incoming-russia.eu to clarify the current status.
