Day 1 Moscow
Arrival at Moscow airport and private transfer to the hotel. Check-in and overnight.
Day 2 Moscow
Breakfast at the hotel. City Tour Moscow (external visits only): Red Square with St. Basil's Cathedral, the GUM Department Store, The Lenin Mausoleum, the Russian History Museum, Kazan Cathedral, Russia’s kilometer zero, the walls of the Kremlin, the Square Teatralnaya, at the center of which stands the famous Bolshoi Theater, Lubyanka Square with the KGB building, Tverskaya street - the main artery of the city with the emblematic neoclassical Town Hall, the Library of Lenin, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the Russian White House, via Novi Arbat, Sparrow Hills and Moscow State University - the main building being one of seven constructed by Stalin. Finally, the Novodevichy Monastery (entrance included) - one of the most beautiful architectural complexes in the capital, founded in 1524 - with the Cathedral of Our Lady of Smolensk. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3 Moscow
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit The Kremlin, the oldest nucleus of the Russian capital, housing numerous religious and secular buildings of Russian history. The Kremlin itself is a fortified citadel closed by a triangle of walls with 20 towers. Among the cathedrals is the famous Cathedral of the Assumption, where the coronation of the Russian Monarch had been held. You will visit the cathedrals and explore the most significant buildings: The Tsar Bell, the czarina of the bells, the palaces of the Presidency of the Russian nation. Also we will pay a visit to the Kremlin Armory - one of the most interesting museums in Russia. The Armory does not store weapons, but instead some of the most precious treasures of the Tsarist and Soviet eras: thrones, scepters, carriages, the famous Fabergè eggs and a collection of gifts presented from foreign ambassadors. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 4 Moscow - Sergiev Posad - Rostov Veliky - Yaroslavl
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure from Moscow, arrival in Sergiev Posad. Northeast of the city of Moscow, Sergiev Posad is the first of the ancient cities of the so-called Golden Ring. Visit the Monastery of St. Sergius, one of the most revered sites in all of Russia, home of the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox church. The Lavra complex, surrounded by a beautiful wall with 10 towers, includes seven churches, two cathedrals, an academy of theology, the ancient hospital and administrative offices - a truly magical place. Continue to the town of Rostov - an ancient Russian city located on the Nero Lake. The region has been settled as far back as 4000 years ago, now being a small city of 32,000 inhabitants, with historic buildings, the Rostov Kremlin, and authentic Russian architecture. After the visit, we continue to Yaroslavl. Arrival and accommodation in the hotel. Overnight.
Day 5 Yaroslavl
Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with the guide and guided tour of Yaroslavl. Founded on the banks of the Volga in 1010 by Prince Yaroslavl the Wise, the city is today one of the most visited tourist centers of the Golden Ring circuit. Its historic center is protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Guided city tour with visit to the Church of Elijah the Prophet and the Monastery of the Transfiguration. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 6 Yaroslavl - Kostroma - Suzdal
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Kostroma, arrival and meeting with the guide. City tour of Kostroma - sacked by the mongols in 1238, Kostroma is now a picturesque city spread out along green banks of the Volga River. We will visit the Ipatiev Monastery, whose history is deeply linked to the Romanov Tsar family. After the visit, depart for Suzdal. Arrival, check-in and overnight at the hotel.
Day 7 Suzdal
Breakfast in the hotel. Meeting with the guide and guided tour of Suzdal. Located north-east of Moscow, Suzdal was once the head of a powerful principality. Today it is a lovely village with its monuments and the traces of its glorious past. Guided city tour with visit to the Suzdal Kremlin, the Monastery of St. Euthymius, the Museum of wooden architecture and the Cathedral of the Nativity. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 8 Suzdal - Vladimir - Bogolyubovo
Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with the guide and guided tour of Vladimir. Vladimir, founded in 1108 when Moscow was little more than a village, by the thirteenth century became one of the most powerful cities of all of Russia as well as the capital for a few decades. Guided city tour with a visit to the Dormition Cathedral and the Cathedral of Saint Demetrius. Continue to Bogolyubovo. Visit the Assumption Cathedral and the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin. Continue in the direction of Nerl to visit the Church of the Intercession (1.5 km on foot to reach it). Continue to Moscow. Arrival at the hotel, check-in and overnight stay.
Day 9 Moscow
Breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer to Moscow airport.

→ 2021: The Russian government has announced its plans to implement simplified Electronic Visas for Russia starting Jan. 1, 2021. Foreign citizens of 53 countries will be able to obtain a 16-day, single-entry tourist visa online.
